Khwaja Kermani Kamal al-Din
Khwaja Kermani Kamal al-Din
(also Khvaju-e Kermani). Born 1281 in Kerman; died 1352 or 1361 in Shiraz. Persian court poet and panegyrist.
Kermani traveled widely. He was an adherent of the Sufi order of Qazaruniyah, as is attested by his mathnawis and numerous qasidas. His Khamseh begins with two tales of love in verse: Khomai and Khomayun (1331–32) and Gol and Nouruz (1341–42). The remaining three narrative poems, written between 1342 and 1345, are didactic Sufi mathnawis.
