Nizhnii Chir

an urban-type settlement in Surovikino Raion, Volgograd Oblast, RSFSR; a landing on the right shore of the Tsimliansk Reservoir, 45 km southeast of the Surovikino station on the Volgograd-Likhaia railroad line. Foodstuffs, processed fish, bricks, and reinforced-concrete structural members are produced locally.
