An X ray taken while the subject is actually urinating. The urine contains a dye opaque to X-rays. The method can provide information about abnormalities of the bladder and of the urine tubes entering it (URETERS) and leaving it (URETHRA). It is especially useful in investigating reflux flow of urine back up the ureters from the bladder in children.
