Khlopinite

(named after V. G. Khlopin), also chlopinite or hlopinite, a variety of the mineral samarskite enriched with titanium (seeSAMARSKITE). Khlopinite is found only in the metamict state, usually intergrown with columbite. A rare mineral, it has been found in pegmatites, associated with subalkalic granites, together with monazite, zircon, orthite, and other minerals.
