Khanuin-Gol
(also Khanui-Gol), a river in the Mongolian People’s Republic, a right tributary of the Selenga River. The Khanuin-Gol is 421 km long and drains an area of 14,600 sq km. It rises on the Khangai Highland and flows in a broad valley through hilly and mountainous regions. The mean flow rate is approximately 20 cu m per sec. High water occurs during spring and summer. In winter the Khanuin-Gol partly freezes.
