Khadzhibei Liman

a bay in the northwestern part of the Black Sea, 6.4 km northeast of Odessa. Khadzhibei Liman is about 31 km long, 2.5 km wide, and up to 2.5 m deep. It is protected from the sea by a bank of sand and shell deposits 4.5 km wide. It was formed by the separation of the mouth of the Malyi Kuial’nik River from the sea. Therapeutic muds are found on the floor of the liman.
