Malaia Vishera

a city, the administrative center of Malaia Vishera Raion, Novgorod Oblast, RSFSR. Located on the Malaia Vishera River (Lake ll’men’ basin). Population, 15,400 (1970). Malaia Vishera has a railroad station on the Bologoe-Leningrad line 117 km northeast of Novgorod. Railroad transport enterprises, a glassworks, a dairy, a garment factory, manufacturers of hardware and children’s toys, and a logging and timber distribution establishment are located there.
