Location:13 miles southwest of Meade, on Highway 23.
Facilities:42 campsites with with water and electrical hookups, 150 primitivecampsites, nature trail, swimming beach and bathhouse, boat ramp,courtesy dock, day use areas, picnic shelters.
Activities:Camping, boating (fishing boats only), fishing, swimming, hunting (on adjacent lands).
Special Features:Located in the shortgrass prairie region of the state, Meade is theonly state park in southwest Kansas. The park is situated around MeadeState Fishing Lake, which offers excellent fishing for bluegill,crappie, channel cat, and largemouth bass. (Boats with motors must beused for fishing only, and no skiing or pleasure boating is permittedon the lake.)
