Location:11 miles southwest of Mound City on Highway 111 in Holt County.
Facilities:18 basic campsites, 57 electric campsites, showers, 8 cabins, 12 motelrooms and 5 suites, picnic sites, picnic shelter, restaurant, swimmingpool, boat ramp.
Activities:Camping, lake fishing, swimming, bird watching, interpretive programs.
Special Features:Park is located in northwest Missouri, midway between Kansas City andOmaha, on the state's largest oxbow lake, which was formed by theMissouri River before its course was controlled by channelization. Thepark also has a large marsh, and Squaw Creek National Wildlife Refuge(see separate entry in national wildlife refuges section) is nearby.
