Location:9 miles east of Hopkinsville on US 68.
Facilities:Visitor center with exhibits and gift shop, picnic area, 2 picnic shelters, playground.
Special Features:Site is a memorial to Jefferson Davis, the President of theConfederacy, who was born here in June 3, 1808. The 351-foot monumentconstructed on this site marks Davis' birthplace andrests on a foundation of solid Kentucky limestone. An elevatortakes visitors to an observation room at the top of the structure,affording visitors a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside.
