Johnson Ferry House State Historic Site
Location:8 miles north of Trenton in Washington Crossing State Park (see separate entry).
Special Features:This 18th-century farmhouse was owned by Garret Johnson, who operated a490-acre colonial plantation and a ferry service across the river inthe 1700s. It is thought that the house was probably used by GeneralGeorge Washington and other officers the night they crossed theDelaware River.
