Juergenson, Friedrich (1903–1987)
(religion, spiritualism, and occult)Friedrich Juergenson was born in Odessa in 1903 and later naturalized in Sweden. He became a well known film director and portrait painter. One of Juergenson’s hobbies was making tape recordings of bird songs. One day in June, 1959, he was amazed to discover the sound of a man’s voice on his recording of a bird. The voice commented on “bird voices in the night.” He listened carefully a number of times and was then further surprised to make out the sound of his deceased Mother’s voice saying, in German, “Friedrich, you are being watched. Friedel, my little Friedel, can you hear me?” On hearing this, Juergenson felt he had made an important discovery. He spent the next twenty-eight years taping hundreds of paranormal voices.
In 1964, Juergenson published a book in Swedish, Voices From the Universe. Three years later this was translated into German, which gave it a much wider circulation and thereby made Juergenson better known in this field. Dr. Konstantin Raudive read the books and although he was initially very skeptical, met with Juergenson and was quickly caught up in the Electronic Voice Phenomena. Raudive eventually catalogued tens of thousands of such voices, using Juegenson’s methods.
Other of Juegenson’s books are Radio-Link With the Beyond, and Voice Transmissions with the Deceased. He died on October 15, 1987. It is said that he appeared to a Swedish couple, Claude and Ellen Thorlin, on their television set a few days later. Ellen is a psychic. Claude took a Polaroid photograph of the dead Juegenson on the screen. The television set was tuned to a channel that does not carry any programming.
