Karl Schuchhardt

Schuchhardt, Karl

 

Born Aug. 6,1859, in Hanover; died Dec. 7,1943, in Aarolsen. German archaeologist.

Schuchhardt was director of the Ethnological Museum in Berlin from 1908 to 1925. He was a specialist in the archaeology of the Western European Bronze and Iron ages and in the early history and archaeology of the Germanic tribes.
