Ivanova, Lidiia Pavlovna
Born Mar. 4 (17), 1915, in the village of Ivashkovo, in present-day Krasnosel’skii Raion, Kostroma Oblast. An innovator in agriculture, from 1932 to 1965 she was milkmaid-brigade leader at the educational Karavaevo farm in Kostroma Raion, Kostroma Oblast, and was twice Hero of Socialist Labor (1948, 1951). She became a member of the CPSU in 1942.
In Ivanova’s brigade, which had 80 cows, the milk yield per forage cow was 5,175 kg in 1948, 5,913 kg in 1949, 6,373 kg in 1950, 6,416 kg in 1951, and 6,674 kg in 1952. Ivanova retired in 1965. She has been awarded four Orders of Lenin, medals, and medals of the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition and of the Exhibition of the Achievements of the National Economy of the USSR, including the large gold, small gold, and large silver medals.
