Isoanths

isophenes that trace the blossoming of a given plant (cherry, lilac, rye) occuring at one time. Plants react sensitively to changes in external conditions, particularly air and soil temperatures; hence, isoanths can graphically demonstrate the coming of spring in a given year. They have practical value in agriculture and forestry.
