Kerkichi

an urban-type settlement in Chardzhou Oblast, Turkmen SSR. It has a landing on the right bank of the Amu Darya (opposite the city of Kerki) and a railroad station on the Kagan-Dushanbe line. Population, 5,000 (1972). Kerkichi has a cotton-ginning mill, and carpets are also produced there.
