Location:25 miles West of Boston.
Facilities:Trails, visitor center.
Activities:Hiking, hunting, fishing, wildlife observation, educational programs.
Special Features:The refuge lands were formerly part of Fort Deavers, known as the Sudbury Training Annex. The U.S. Army transferred 2,230 acres to FWS in fall 2000.
Habitats: 2,230 acres of pine/hardwood forest, old field, and wetland.
Access: Refuge office and visitor center open daily 8 am to 4 pm.
Wild life: Waterfowl, wading birds, raptors, shorebirds, passerines, white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and rabbit.
