Iskandar

an urban-type settlement in Bostanlyk Raion, Tashkent Oblast, Uzbek SSR. Population 5,000 (1971). It is situated in the spurs of the Tien-Shan on the right bank of the Chirchik River, 4 km from the Barrazh railroad station on the Tashkent-Khodzhikent branch line. Iskandar has a construction-materials combine, a house-building combine, a brickyard, and a glassworks.
