Iukhnov

a city (since 1777) and the administrative center of Iukhnov Raion, Kaluga Oblast, RSFSR. Iukhnov is situated on the Ugra River, a tributary of the Oka, and on the Moscow-Roslavl’ highway, 35 km southwest of the Miatlevskaia railroad station on the Kaluga-Viaz’ma line. Industry is represented by a timber combine, a flax-processing plant, a milk plant, and a branch of the Moscow Garment Production Association.
