Karla Libknekhta Imeni

(formerly Peny), an urban-type settlement in L’gov Raion, Kursk Oblast, RSFSR, on theleft bank of the Seim River (tributary of the Desna). There is arailroad station (Blokhino) on the Kursk-L’gov line. Population, 10, 000 (1970). It is the site of a machine-building plant and asugar refinery.
