释义 | Johannsen, WilhelmJohannsen, Wilhelm(1857–1927) Danish botanist who, in the early 1900s, carried out selection experiments with beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) which showed that selection is a passive process that eliminates, but does not produce, variations. Johannsen is, however, chiefly remembered for having coined the terms GENE, GENOTYPE and PHENOTYPE. |
