Isfairamsai

 

(Isfairam, Ispairam), a river in the Kirghiz and Uzbek SSR’s.

The Isfairamsai, 122 km long with a basin area of 2,220 sq km, rises on the northern slopes of the Alai Range, where it is called the Tengizbai. The river is part of the Great Fergana Canal system. Glacier and snow fed, it has a mean flow rate of 21.1 cu m per sec at Uchkurgan, where an irrigation system begins. The city of Kuvasai is on the Isfairamsai.
