Keitele

a lake in south-central Finland. Length, 85 km; maximum width, 10 km; area, 526 sq km (islands occupy 93 sq km); maximum depth, 64 m. The shoreline is tortuous with numerous bays, peninsulas, and capes. Lake Keitele, which is navigable, empties into Lake Päijänne.
