Kazanka

 

an urban-type settlement and center of Kazanka Raion, Nikolaev Oblast, Ukrainian SSR, located on the Visun’ River (in the Dnieper basin), 9 km from the Kazanka station on the Nikolaev-Dolinskaia railroad line.

Kazanka has a creamery, a food-processing combine, and amuseum of history and local lore.


Kazanka

 

a river in the Tatar ASSR; a left-bank tributary of the Volga, flowing into the Kuibyshev Reservoir.

The Kazanka is 142 km long and drains an area of about 2, 600sq km. Its waters are fed mainly by melting snow. The averageannual water discharge near its mouth is about 0.88 cu m per sec.The city of Kazan is located at the point at which the Kazankaflows into the Volga.
