Jo Shui

 

(Jeshui; also Etsin Gol or Edsin-Gol; in the upper and middle courses, the Heiho), a river in China. Length, approximately 900 km. Its sources are the glaciers in the Ch’ilien and T’aolai ranges of the Nan Shan. Its several branches (the main ones are the Marin and Ikh rivers) dis-charge into the Gashun and Sogo lakes. There is high water in the summer; the river becomes very shallow during the winter and spring.
