释义 | Kassite
KassiteKassitethe language of the Kassites, spoken in the second and first millennia B.C. in western Iran, in the territory of present-day Luristan. About 100 Kassite roots and several grammatical suffixes (apparently agglutinative) have been established based on analysis of Kassite proper names and names for the coats of horses found in Akkadian sources. The relationship between Kassite and Elamite, which was postulated by the German scholars G. Hiising and F. Delitzsch, has not yet received sufficient confirmation. REFERENCESBalkan, K.
