Karaugom

a valley glacier on the northern slope of the Glavnyi Range of the Greater Caucasus, northwest of Mount Uilpata (4,638 m). The total length of the glacier is 14 km; a tongue of ice 7.5 km long descends to an elevation of 1,820 m. One of the sources of the Urukh River, a tributary of the Terek, draws its water from Karaugom.
