jet route jet route Rear view of multi-tube jet noise suppressor.A high-altitude route system for aircraft with high-altitude navigational aids that normally extends from 18,000 ft AMSL (above mean sea level) to flight level 450. The routes are referred to as J-routes and designated by a number for easy identification (e.g., J110). With respect to position reporting, reporting points are designated for jet route systems. Flights using jet routes will report over these points unless other-wise advised by ATC (air traffic control). Also referred to as high-level airways. |
