intramuscular haemangioma
A benign, often painful soft-tissue tumour, consisting of a heterogeneous mixture of blood vessels and stroma occurring in large muscles, especially the thigh, but also the calf, foot and forearm. Misdiagnosis is common, due to the variable clinical and radiographic presentations. Intramuscular haemangiomas may evoke osseous change in adjacent cortical, medullary, and periosteal bone.DiffDx
