Kazakhstanskaia Pravda

the republic newspaper of the Kazakh SSR, published in the Russian language. Foundedin 1920, it was originally published under the title Izvestiia Kir-gizskogo kraia. Subsequently the name of the newspaper waschanged several times; since 1932 it has been called Kazakhstan-skaia pravda. It is published in Alma-Ata six times a week. In1970 it had a circulation of 170, 000.
