Izorniki
Izorniki
a category of (or, according to some scholars, a name for) peasants feudally obligated to their lord in the territory of Pskov between the 14th and 16th centuries. They paid the lord quitrent (one-quarter and sometimes one-half their crop) and did some work for him. They were allowed to leave only once a year, on St. Philip’s Eve (November 14), on the conditions that they returned either in kind or in money the tools lent them by the feudal lord and that they paid him half their crop. Any property belonging to a fugitive izornik was transferred to the lord.
