ASPSCR1

A gene on chromosome 17q25.3 that encodes a ubiquitous tethering protein highly expressed in the testes, heart, skeletal muscle and pancreas; it sequesters GLUT4-containing vesicles in the cytoplasm in absence of insulin.
Molecular pathology
ASPSCR1 is fused with transcription factor TFE3 in alveolar soft part sarcomas and renal cell carcinomas.
