Jerada
Jerada
a city in northeastern Morocco, in the province of Oujda. Population 19,000 (1965). Jerada is a mining center; its anthracite coal output averages 400,000 tons a year. It is connected by a railroad branch with an ore-concentrating plant in Aïn-Guenfunda (on the Oujda-Abadla line). A steam power plant with a capacity of 165,000 kilowatts was built with Soviet aid.
