See Angina. anginal equivalentThe occasional idiosyncratic signs and symptoms that patients may experience during coronary ischemia or myocardial infarction. The most common signs are breathlessness, isolated pain in the arm, neck, jaw, or shoulder, sweating, syncope, or nausea and vomiting. Patients may also be anxious and an elevated heart rate or palpitations. Older patients may show changes in mental status.
