bibliographic reference

bibliographic reference

A standard entry in a published work which refers the reader to an original source of information referenced or cited by an author in the main body of the text. The use of bibliographic references demonstrates the value of a specific work across a variety of journals and disciplines, and through time, by tracking the frequency with which a specific BR appears across a wide variety of journals, one can better gauge the work’s importance to a multidisciplinary audience.
