a city in Ghana, in the region of Volta. Population, 27,500 (1970). It is a port on the Gulf of Guinea, in the delta of the Volta River. There is commercial fishing. Copra and cotton are processed. Salt is extracted from deposits in the lagoons.

(also Khita), a lake in Taimyr (Dolgan-Nenets) National Okrug, Krasnoiarsk Krai, RSFSR. Area, 452 sq km. It lies at an altitude of 93 m, between the western spurs of the Putorana plateau. The lake is fed by snow and rain. The Rybnaia River, a tributary of the Norilka River (basin of Lake Piasino), flows out of Lake Keta.
