Institute of the Far East

(full name, Institute of the Far East of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR), a scientific research institution concerned with current problems of the countries of the Far East outside the Soviet Union. Founded in 1966 and located in Moscow, the institute publishes Problemy Dal’nego Vostoka (Problems of the Far East; since 1972, English edition, Far Eastern Affairs).
