Inca Bone
Inca Bone
an anomaly of the human skull; it is divided by a suture from the upper part of the occipital bone. It looks like a multiangular insertion. It is called “Inca bone” because the anomaly was first discovered in the skulls of the ancient Incas of Peru. However, it is distributed in representatives of all human races (up to 10 percent). The Inca bone is sometimes further divided into two to four parts, according to the number of centers of ossification.
