Iagnob
(also Iagnobdar’ia), a river in the Tadzhik SSR; the right headstream of the Fandar’ia of the Zeravshan River basin. The Iagnob is 116 km long and drains an area of 1,660 sq km. It originates at a glacier on the southern slope of the Zeravshan Range and flows through a narrow mountain valley. It is fed by mixed sources, but primarily by snow. High water occurs from May through August. The mean flow rate 8 km from the mouth is 32.2 cu m per sec. Ice forms on the river between mid-November and early March. [30–1282–1 ]
