Architecture Neutral Distribution Format

(programming, operating system)(ANDF) An emerging OSFstandard for software distribution. Programs are compiledinto ANDF before distribution and executables are producedfrom it for the local target system. This allows software tobe developed and distributed in a single version theninstalled on a variety of hardware.
