Halimocnemis
Halimocnemis
a genus of plants of the Chenopodiaceae family. They are succulent annual halophytes with narrow, rather thick leaves with prickles on their tips. Twelve species are known, predominantly in Middle Asia. In the USSR there are 11 species of Halimocnemis, which grow on solonetzes, solonchaks, and sandy soils, principally in Middle Asia and in the southeastern European portion of the USSR. Many species of Halimocnemis are good fodder for camels and sheep.
