Belovo State Regional Power Plant
a large steam power plant, located northeast of the city of Belovo, Kemerovo Oblast. It uses coal from nearby hydraulic mining operations and also the industrial products from the beneficiation of hard coal. The first 200-MW power unit consisting of a turbine unit and a direct-flow boiler unit with a steam output of 640 tons per hour at a pressure of approximately 14 meganewtons/m2 (140 kg-force/cm2) was placed in service in June 1964. With the commissioning of the sixth unit in 1968, the station reached the designed capacity of 1,200 MW. The electric power is delivered to the Kuznetsk Basin Power System, which is part of the United Central Siberian Power System.
