Grigg–Skjellerup comet

(grig skyel-ĕ-rup) A comet that, after Encke, has the second shortest cometary period, 5.1 years. The retargeted spacecraft Giotto flew by the comet in July 1992 on the side away from the Sun at a distance of 200 km. Dust, gas, and plasma were investigated but no pictures could be taken.
