Haipowan
Haipowan
a city in China, in the autonomous region of Inner Mongolia, on the Huang Ho. Population, 100,000 (1972). Haipowan is a transportation junction on the Paolan railroad, which connects Paot’ou with Lanchou. It has plants of the metallurgical, machine-building, chemical, food-processing, and leather industries. Coal and tin ore are mined in the area.
