AMACR Alpha-Methylacyl coenzyme A racemase. An enzyme involved in beta-oxidation of branched-chain fatty acids, the gene for which is overexpressed in certain cancers, in particular prostate.alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase, AMACRAn antibody that is primarily used in histopathology to stain tissues suspected of representing carcinoma of the prostate gland.
