Hydraulic Distributor

a device for opening, closing, or changing the flow direction of a working fluid in hydraulic system devices. It is used for distributing the flow of a fluid supplied from a pump to a receiver, such as a hydraulic engine, during starting, stopping, or reversing of the receiver. Hydraulic distributors may be of the cock, slide-valve, or valve type and may have direct (manual) or remote (hydraulic, pneumatic, electric) controls.
