indanedione indanedione [in″dān-di´ōn] any of a group of synthetic anticoagulants derived from 1,3-indanedione, such as anisindione. They act by impairing hepatic synthesis of the vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors (prothrombin and factors VII, IX, and X). |
