Home Office Shortage Occupation List

Home Office Shortage Occupation List

A list created by the Home Office—which controls entry of foreigners into the UK—to allow UK healthcare organisations to recruit from overseas, providing that there was clear and demonstrable evidence that suitable professionals could not be successfully recruited from the resident UK/European Economic Area (EEA) labour markets. Under this scheme, employing organisations could apply for and attain a UK work permit under a “fast-track” scheme.
