Athyrium
Athyrium a genus of ferns, distributed throughout the world. There are approximately 200 species (according to other sources, as many as 600). Twelve are found in the USSR, primarily in the Far East. Lady fern (A. filix-femind) is common in the forest zone. Many species of Athyrium, including lady fern, are grown as ornamentals. Formerly, the name Athyrium was also applied to some broad-leaved forest ferns, predominantly from the genera Asplenium and Dryopteris.
