Heterophyidae

(hĕt″ĕ-rŏf′ĭ-dē) A family of Trematoda (flukes) that infests the intestines of dogs, cats, and other mammals including humans. It includes the genera Heterophyes, Haplorchis, Diorchitrema, and Metagonimus. Infestations are common in Egypt and in Asia. Intermediate hosts are snails; the cercaria encyst in fish, esp. mullets, or frogs.
